Introducing the people who make up Team Bread and Butter.
-
Vic Harper - CEO
Aka The 'Gets Things Done' One
Previously located in various northern Local Authorities, Vic joined TBBT fresh from leading Manchester City Council's pandemic food response team. Now she's in charge of our mission to spread our work and build new partnerships to really maximise our impact. She's also a big foodie (with a particular penchant for Ottelenghi's flavour-packed cuisine) as well as long walks – preferably ending in a micropub with a random small gig going on.
-
Mark Game - Founder
Aka The Pushy One!
Mark started this whole thing with Jane and as is focussed on growth and development of the model as it scales. In a previous life he was an accountant but has spent the last twenty years or so stopping food going to waste and developing a service-led approach to food redistribution. Nowadays he rarely gets on a van and usually messes things up when he does!
-
Jane Partington – Founder
Aka The Organised One
Jane is the co-founder of TBBT with Mark, focussed on making the TBBT model scalable and sustainable. Previously she worked in accountancy practices and now manages our data collection process, making sure we give a voice to our members through our surveys and putting the numbers on our social impact.
-
Justin Pritchard - Head of Food
Aka The Foody One
Justin works in our food team building industry relationships and sourcing food for our members. He’s passionate about reducing food waste and loves eating all foods especially cheese or Sushi (but not together). Previously worked in the golf industry, music and met The Wombles as a child. He’s still a keen drummer and loves football and running in the winter weather.
-
Justine Garner – Head of Finance
Aka The Numerical One
Justine looks after all things TBBT finance. Previously she worked as a Financial Director for a manufacturing company which produced body armour for the military and police around the world and also for TV programmes such as Emmerdale and Happy Valley.
-
Erica Roscoe - Insights Manager
Aka The Insightful One
Erica helps us really maximise on all the unique data and insights we get firsthand from our communities. She brings with her a wealth of experience, having previously worked in research and policy across a range of organisations including IPPR North and Manchester City Council. Her specialist areas of research include family support and early years, skills and education and social impact. When Erica isn’t analysing data, she can be found battling the weeds on her allotment and occasionally eating a precious home-grown tomato.
-
Jim Fieldsend - Philanthropy and Fundraising Lead
Aka The Giving One
Jim’s career started out at The Prince’s Trust working in a variety of ops roles before moving into fundraising, since then he’s worked at The Christie and OnSide. He’s all about working with individuals, businesses, trusts and foundations to build strong philanthropic partnerships that have scalable and lasting impact. Jim’s got a young family and when he’s not spending time having fun with them with them you can find him going to gigs, watching United or playing the guitar (badly).
-
Karen Walker - Partnerships Officer
Aka The Community One
Building relationships is at the heart of everything Karen does. Her’s career began in sales before swiftly moving into marketing and PR. Karen spent the majority of her time marketing super swanky cars and even had a stint as Press Officer for This Morning in the distant past! Karen is a self-confessed tennis nut but is quick to admit that she’s useless at it. She also ihas two nutty doodle dogs, Basil and Beasley who she adores.
-
Hayley Cadel - Partnerships Coordinator
Aka The Prepared One
Hayley comes to Bread and Butter having previously worked in events, organising academic conferences, seminars and summer schools. She manages all our additional services. In her spare time, Hayley is a book worm and loves nothing better than curling up with a good book. She’s also rather partial to the odd book club, festival and gig.
-
Nina Russell - Multimedia Storyteller
Aka The Creative One
Nina creates scroll-stopping social content, turning everyday moments into magic. She’s passionate about authentic storytelling especially when it shines a light on our amazing members, sparkly ideas, and a well-placed emoji. She has previously worked at Channel 4, Girlguiding, CBeebies and BBC Food. She’s got a music degree, loves to sing, play the ukulele at open mic nights and a good dance… sometimes all at once!
-
Tammy Doughty - Director of Public Affairs & Strategic Relationships
Aka The Connected One
With a background in grassroots change and big-picture strategy, Tammy led the UK Fresh Produce Network, uniting farms, retailers and policymakers including DEFRA, MPs, Lords, and industry leaders to tackle challenges and champion the sector. She has worked across social housing, education, and global trade. When she’s not building bridges over coffee, she’s championing rural voices or dreaming up her next good-food idea, ideally somewhere with strong tea, a farm gate and absolutely no spreadsheets. They scare her!
-
Tina Hills - Business Partner
Aka The Curious One
Tina is the bridge across the business, bringing structure, controls, and governance to help teams thrive and stay aligned. Known for connecting dots others didn’t know existed, she’s all about making things work better whether that’s through process improvement or driving tech-enabled change. Previously Head of Operations in the automotive sector, Tina led transformation and continuous improvement initiatives with precision and pace. When not keeping the business in shape, she’s likely up a hill, at the gym, or cooking up a feast.
Not to mention all of our brilliant operational team
Our Community Delivery and Development Officers.
