The Bread and Butter Thing joins Sainsbury’s Data Philanthropy Hackathon to explore how data can drive social impact, helping communities thrive through insight and innovation.

More than 4,000 families across the UK will be able to access food and essential support during the summer holidays, thanks to increased funding for The Bread and Butter Thing’s Holiday Activities and Food (HAF) Around the Hub programme.

Working with local partners from South and East Lincolnshire Council Partnership, Newark and Sherwood District Council and food logistics company, Freshlinc, TBBT will establish a new regional base bringing the benefits of its mobile affordable food clubs to thousands of families across the East Midlands.

TBBT has received £500,000 in funding from Comic Relief and Sainsbury’s, directly aimed at supporting families struggling with food insecurity.
