Introducing the people who make up Team TBBT.

  • Mark Game - CEO

    Aka The Pushy One!

Mark started this whole thing with Jane and as is focussed on growth and development of the model as it scales. In a previous life he was an accountant but has spent the last twenty years or so stopping food going to waste and developing a service-led approach to food redistribution. Nowadays he rarely gets on a van and usually messes things up when he does!

  • Vic Harper - Chief Operating Officer

Aka The 'Gets Things Done' One

Previously located in various northern Local Authorities, Vic joined TBBT fresh from leading Manchester City Council's pandemic food response team. Now she's in charge of our mission to spread our work and build new partnerships to really maximise our impact. She's also a big foodie (with a particular penchant for Ottelenghi's flavour-packed cuisine) as well as long walks – preferably ending in a micropub with a random small gig going on.

  • Jane Partington – Partnerships Director

    Aka The Organised One

Jane is the co-founder of TBBT with Mark, focussed on making the TBBT model scalable and sustainable. Previously she worked in accountancy practices and now manages our data collection process, making sure we give a voice to our members through our surveys and putting the numbers on our social impact.

  • Justine Garner – Head of Finance

    Aka The Numerical One

Justine looks after all things TBBT finance. Previously she worked as a Financial Director for a manufacturing company which produced body armour for the military and police around the world and also for TV programmes such as Emmerdale and Happy Valley.

  • Dan Carder – Head of Region North West

    Aka The Calm One

Dan looks after our North West operations covering everything from volunteers to vans. He has an extensive retail management background working for a range of retailers including our partners Iceland and Sainsbury’s. A keen home-chef, he has a passion for clever cooking that minimises waste and makes the most out of minimal ingredients.

  • Justin Pritchard - Food Supply Co-ordinator

    Aka The Foody One

Justin works in our food team building industry relationships and sourcing food for our members. He’s passionate about reducing food waste and loves eating all foods especially cheese or Sushi (but not together). Previously worked in the golf industry, music and met The Wombles as a child. He’s still a keen drummer and loves football and running in the winter weather.

  • Sophie Balmbra - Food Supply Coordinator

    Aka The Smiley One

As well as unlocking new food supplies and liaising with TBBT’s suppliers, Sophie is here to help people and the planet and reduce surplus food along the way! Her background ranges from farming potatoes to selling bridal gowns but more recently assisting in account management for retailers across Europe. She is happiest when singing ‘Sweet Caroline’ at Ewood Park.

  • Becca Heede - Partnerships Coordinator North West

    Aka The Affable One

Becca is responsible for the additional services that come to our hubs in the North West, that help with income maximisation, energy advise, mental health support and digital inclusion. She is enjoying her new adventure as she has recently graduated in International Business Management, which she did alongside working in lettings.

  • Annie Pluse - Partnerships Coordinator North East

    Aka The Determined One

Annie is responsible for the additional services that come to our hubs in the North East. These services help our members with income maximisation, mental health, digital inclusion and energy advice. Previously she worked in mental health, public health and housing in customer facing roles. Annie enjoys walking with her dog, Ted.

Not to mention all of our brilliant operational team
